Could you summarize the significance of your paper in layman's terms?

It provides a summary of what is known in psychology about cultural differences in social behavior.

How did you become involved in this research?

The idea for this paper was initiated by our senior author, Dr. Daphna Oyserman. All co-authors are contributors to the literature on cultural psychology. An integration and synthesis was long overdue in this research field.
