ST:  Why do you think your paper is highly cited?

It provides a broad ranging review of the topic.

ST:  Could you summarize the significance of your paper in layman's terms?

Proteins that are involved in cell-cell or cell-matrix interactions are also important in regulating signal transduction pathways.

ST:  How long have you been involved in this research?

I have been in this area for many years. Basically, our laboratory works on the integrin family of cell-matrix adhesion receptors and how these proteins influence signaling pathways, such as the MAP kinase pathway that is critical for cell replication.End
