Beginning in mid-February 2008, the 1997-2007 online version of the Science Watch® newsletter, ESI-Topics.com, and in-cites.com, will all be featured together on the redesigned ScienceWatch.com. All previous content from the three sites will be permanently archived, and remain accessible from any existing bookmarks to the archived pages. No new content will be added to this site. Updates and new content (updated biweekly) are available at ScienceWatch.com now.

Field Rankings in Molecular Biology & Genetics
for the Journal Development

DevelopmentDevelopment is a primary research journal that provides an insight into mechanisms of plant and animal development, covering all aspects from molecular and cellular to tissue levels. It aims to act as a forum for all research that offers a genuine insight into developmental mechanisms. Studies on both plant and animal development are welcome and can be focused upon any aspect of the developmental process, at all levels of biological organization from the molecular and cellular to the tissue levels. Experimental papers will be given the highest priority. Manuscripts that are entirely descriptive will only be accepted if they are of particularly high quality and offer novel insight into developmental mechanisms. Development is published twice monthly (24 issues/year).

The table, graphs and top papers below specify Development's publication and citation performance in the field of Molecular Biology & Genetics over the last decade, with the table showing Development's rank on three separate measures, compared against the 116 top-performing journals in Molecular Biology & Genetics covered by ISI Essential Science Indicators Web based product.
